I cannot resist the lovely squishiness of cables on a knitted hat. Here are two of my favorite cables combined in a sophisticated-looking design that is sure to give a high-fashion compliment to any winter attire.

The crown of the hat closes into a beautiful floral round resulting in cabled petals. You will enjoy making this pattern down to the very last stitch.

Adult: Medium (Large) to fit head circumference of 22” (24”) / 56 (61 cm)

US 5 (3.75 mm), 16” (40 cm) Circular needle, DPNs or longer circular needle for magic loop method

Gauge

US 6 (4.0 mm), 21 sts & 28 rnds = 4”, in stockinette stitch in the round, unblocked

Hat is knit from brim to crown in the round.

Consider placing a stitch marker every 18 stitches to separate pattern repeats in the body of the hat.
